Note the transitional period for mounting the M60s on the choppers: The left two have the newer exterior flex mounts and the rest have the guns hung from bungee cords as they did at the beginning of the conflict. The two on the left appear to be C models and the rest B models, from the little I can tell. Also notice that all except the far left one still have their doors attached.

Bob, I think all of them have external mounts. The vertical supports appear to be visible if you look very closely.
I saw a few UH1 door gunners use M60s on the bungee cord as late as 1970 in RVN. Aero-scout LOH (OH6) gunners used them all along as memory serves.
