The 69th Infantry Division, in early March, drove the Germans from dominating positions in the heart of the Siegfried Line. Answers to the soldier's reaction to the combat are as varied as the men themselves... Pvt. Charles D. Doriocourt, of Houston, Texas, said "Cold weather was worst part of it all." 3/4/45
