No doubting it's an M39 so you didn't get took there.
Don't Civil Guard stocks have an S stamped on the right side of the butt? You don't show any stamps in your pics.

Guard rifles are considered more desirable by collectors as they are less common. The condition of yours looks a little on the rough side based on the photo of the butt stock but that might clean up. is that a crack?

yeah thats why i freak out when i first got it... looked rough an looked like it had a crack in the stock... i took the butt plate off an it not a crack its like a tung a groove fitted and i guess and over the years the one side started to expand... it seams to be solid ive shot probably close to 150 to 200 rds through with no problem...
here more pics...
thanks for all your responses...Attachment 68936

It's a common feature on the 39's.
Can't really tell but it has the shape of the Civil Guard cartouche. If I where betting I'd say your good. Classic isn't known for ripping people off.

Here's a pic pulled off Goggle, down near the bottom. I'd say your good. It doesn't look fake.

I have always though the Finn rifles looks just a little nicer than their Russian
counterparts. The small bits like the grip, rear sights, front sling band and foresight protector just add the little bit of extra finish (or Finnish
?) these rifles need. Almost elegant compared to the "battle tool" look of the Russian.
