Gage Kit
I have been working on getting a gage kit completed and I have a friend that had the metal box for the kit but no wooden trays. Been working on this over the last couple of weeks trying to figure out how to duplicate them and finally got a set finished.

Congratulations.
That's a more than respectable job. How about showing us some pics of the total package with the box and any other gages that might go with it, which you might have. Should this also somewhere include a timing block as well?

I dont have a complete set yet, these are not specific to the Garand
, the kits had gages for the .50 cal, BAR, Garand and 1903. the lits changed some over the years and I have seen different layouts. The one I have is USMC and the last photo is also a USMC but is different than mine. This kit didnt have a timing block although I have one and a lot of other Garand tools that dont go in this kit. I believe these were mainly for inspecting weapons to determine serviceablity. Eventually I will get most of the items that go in it, it just takes a lot of searching and in some cases a few bucks to get the missing items.
