Looks like the insides of a C-119 Box Car. Flew in it 5 times at Ft Benning but never landed in one.

Channon, Bob (Editor), THE COLD STEEL THIRD: 3RD AIRBORNE RANGER COMPANY, KOREAN WAR (1950 - 1951). It was published by Genealogy Publishing Service, 448 Ruby Mine Road, Franklin, North Carolina 28734. Bob Channon assembled writings from many of the Company Members and wrote a considerable portion of the book. (It is about the size of a telephone book with 832 pages.)
We formed an organization known as War Victims Trust Fund, Inc. (a non-profit 501 c (3) corporation) and raised money for publication of the first book through book subscription, contributions, and loans. From book proceeds, we have made contributions to families of about thirty Rangers and Special Operations Troopers killed in action in Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
WVTF still continues and is underwriting preparation of our Viet Nam book for publication

Only two in the crew boarding aircraft seem to think it's worth doing. We didn't use them either as a rule even though they were available for the FN C1...
