I myself have never seen so many Details, Documents and Military photos of a Soldier and a M1 icon

Carbine all together. Nice Look if you have the time to see 232 Pictures of everything and a very nice looking M1 IBM Carbine.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Nice carbine, but I think the rear sight is a repro. No crimp circle around the pin holes.

It's a nice story. But you would be buying the carbine. And even if it was in original condition it would not increase the value to $12K including someone's current idea of a presentation case and the other items.

I don't think a veteran bring back, or it would not have been refinished. Did someone buy a carbine, find out who it was issued, research that person and build a collection of items around it to sell?
