I am pretty sure I just bought a bubba'd 1895 Chileanicon Mauser for much more than it is worth. Can anyone help me figure out which model this used to be (Carbine, Rifle, Short, etc.)? I know that the safety latch is aftermarket (Buehle) and it looks like a very well done chop job. Does anyone know what model it used to me?

It is sort of a shame, as the blueing is amazing and all the serial numbers match.
