1907 Bayonet unit identification
Hello,
Looking for some assistance on identifying the unit markings on this hookie I have...it is marked "2 I.F." on the pommel. The only thing I'm coming up with is 2nd Batt. Irish Fusillers?

Thanks!

Possible, someone will be along in a minute to confirm or deny. How about some more pics of this one? Where'd you find this one?

Looks like the correct scabbard for age, it has the teardrop frog stud. Looks very nice...

Thanks...I saw a hookie last night on kijiji in your area(BC) without a scabbard going for $80! It was already snatched before I even had a chance to message the seller. Hopefully someone on the board was able to pick it up. Looked a little beat but, did look like the real thing.

Both men acted curiously when I told them of concerns. I still don't know if they sold or were hidden for later. Knowing that they could be around here, I'd be very wary.

Nice bayonet, but looks like its been re ground or similar near the ricasso, the crown would never have been ground away like it is, the radius is a lot more than a standard 1907 with or without quillion, the true edge tends to end just past the end of the fuller.
