1957973 falls into the Comercial Controls block in the Ruth/Duff book, could that be it? I can' read the name on it, blurs when enlarged. If not, pot belly stock, type three band, adj rear sight. I don't see the lure either.

Jim,
When I posted.......... I was thinking 1st block NPM, But figured out it's a 2nd block NPM.
Noticed the picture file was put together in April of 2016.
I just don't get it....... maybe under estimating the $ Value of the Certificate $
Did see the Recoil plate is SG...........
But now up to $996.00

NPM didn't follow their numbers in sequence, so some that you would assume to be done at a certain time were actually done earlier or later. The last ones were in the 425xxxx group and had IBM undated barrels. These were in April 44 when NPM became CC and they stopped making carbines. That carbine could have a SA barrel to go along the the SA type3 band. Or it could be a poorly marked Buff or Marlin??
Beyond that Charlie, the NPM are not common and are very well made guns. They were the only brand that passed the rain test. Mine is a late one with original IBM barrel and trigger housing, it shoots better than any of the others and they are new by comparison.
