Questions about FN Israeli K98's
I recently picked up this Israeli rifle. I have been reading a little about these, especially the converted ones, but I have a little confusion. I know that Israel received surplus rifles from Czechoslovakia
as well as having some made at FN. As I understand it the 7.62 are a mixture of rifles that were converted over to the round as well as ones contracted in 7.62? or were all conversions? Thanks for any info, and here's some pics of my rifle.

I am pretty sure that all the Mauser rifles that Israel received from Czechoslovakia
and Belgium
, not to mention any other sources, were in 7.92 Mauser. Using a purchased Mauser production line, the Israelis produced barrels in 7.62x51 and converted their entire stock to that caliber. Very few apparently escaped the conversion process.
