Lee Enfield No. 1 MK III 1913
Hello,
I recently pick up this one for few dollars. What is the meaning of LSACoL near the date? On the upper part of the receiver, the round guard over the bolt is gone. Is this have been removed to use a scope? Is there a way to refit one?
Thanks!

LSA Co Ld = London Small Arms Co. Ltd.
Unfortunately, the previous owner has hacked off the charger bridge. From what I have read, they were fitted individually, and the nearly invisible rivets/holes don't line up from rifle to rifle.
It was probably removed to mount that rather long-based rear aperture sight assembly.
