THEIRS IS THE GLORY
Thought you might like to see a short independent film presentation by the Commonwealth Collection on the Battle for Arnhem.
Film makers do make short films on the battle, as all Dutch people still hold the Parachute Regiment and the Polish Parachute Brigade dear. Every child in Oosterbeek each year places a flower on every grave in the graveyard there, it is always a very moving ceremony.
The film Thiers is the Glory by Brian Desmond Hurst is highly reommended. Made a year after wars end in Arnhem it replayed the battle, using the German
Tanks and equipment destroyed during the battle, and 200 lads who fought the battle.
