M1 Carbine - Serial Number 5221443
I ran across this bit of paperwork at an estate auction back in December. They didn't have the carbine for sale (if it was even still with the family) and I wasn't able to purchase this paperwork. Thought you fellas might find it interesting.
I did snap a couple pictures and thought I would share.
I would buy a sinful amount of carbines if they only cost $20!!

My Winchester has this paperwork, plus more. Bought in 1965 from the NRA. Was that date 56/10/29? I have an Inland 1-45.

I noticed it did not come with a magazine, add 25 cents.
I would buy a sinful amount of anything at 1963 prices. I think 45 acp's were $25 delivered.
Hell, a new split window Corvette was only $4,257, inflation.
Carbine prices have doubled about every eight years since 1963. Good investments back then, and still today.
