    Hm..is this normal?

    Picked up a No 5 (?) Remington Rolling Block over the weekend in 7mm SM. I'm sure it saw South American use, no serial numbers, pitting on the barrel. Anyway, got the forestock off, and found this 'hole' drilled on the underside of the barrel. Its not all the way through, is this supposed to be here?
