RAF Guinea Pig Club pin
We have a Gold plated guinea pig club pin (numbered 222) that belonged to a family friend a long time ago. We knew his plane was shot down at some point but he never really spoke about it. After doing a little digging I have found online records of all his flights and his name on the register for the guinea pig club.
There is one of these for sale on a badge selling website for £700 but I have no idea if this ridiculously overpriced or about right? Any help would be appreciated. I will add some pictures as soon as I get a chance.
Thanks

DaBrun,
They are what they are. A momento of a great group of men who were in many cases severely burnt as they either crashed or parachuted out of their aircraft whilst serving in the Royal Air Force. I knew one of the WW2 pilots Jimmy Jones who died a few years ago now and just after the very last reunion of the club in I believe 2007.
So in short I would say keep hold of it as no doubt the price rises. Any idea whose it was, which always helps with provenance. I also think the club list of members is accessible from one of the wives who still keeps it alive on paper, she might be able to help!

Thanks for the reply, yes it was our friend and neighbour when we lived in Australia
. He let my sister (we were kids at the time) have the pin purely as she liked guinea pigs.
I have found lots of details of his flights online and have also found an online copy of his Guinea Pig Club I.D. card.
