At long last........ The LHO
After six years we are finally there. This specialized steel will be shipped to us next Wednesday and it soon as it shows up at the door we will begin production.

The main body is machined from one piece? Or is the root of the handle brazed or silver soldered on? I can see it's one piece in the photo, I think.

We should have taken a photo of the two parts disconnected. They are both machined from a solid block of steel. What you can't see in these photos is that they rear assist lever when pulled back moves the tip at the end forward on the bolt plug and draws the bolt out of battery.
I should probably take a picture of one disassembled. This is a photo of our old original LHO and shows how the rear assist lever works.

The last LHO we produced between2009 and 2014 went for $225 and I was hoping to keep this one somewhat less, but because we're now using high tensile steel this time, machining time increases and changes of bits also increase. I don't want to have to send these off to Seattle for Rockwell hardening. By the time we got them back the process including shipping actually hurt us financially.
I know that after running the complete program, adding knobs, screws and bluing we are going to be at least at the old figure. It could increase from 5 to 8 dollars, but we're not sure yet. If the new nitride treatment works better than bluing, then it will reduce the cost just a bit, but this is my best shot, gents. It's been six years coming and I truly am keeping it as tight as I can. Cross your fingers, because I'm crossing everything I have.
The first 125 0p-rods we brought in from Switzerland
were welded to the bridge. I brought in a new batch two years ago anticipating reactivating the LH0 program but when we thought about it for a while we realized that it was eventually going to be a dead end, that is the primary reason for the new design and this new one can switch rather quickly between rifles without involving anyone's op-rod. Week the last group of op rods on our webpage for sale as an individual item. Sooner or later there will be no more.
Now, for you G 11 series owners. Were going to try it tomorrow afternoon, but I have a sneaking suspicion this might work for the G 11 and if it was the perfect fit it would only take a minor modification. I will let you know.
The profiles of the Screws that you're seeing will be shorter and less prominent in the finished piece,
