Update on FrankEnfield
Hello everyone. A while back I posted about the poor B.S.A. SMLE I'd rescued:
https://www.milsurps.com/showthread....236#post455236
I've since moved from the southeast U.S. to Magma, Arizona(cool name, right?!) and wanted to show what it's looking like now:

I found a guy online who makes lowers; he had some 'mistakes' laying around, and after hearing about "FrankEnfield" he offered to put them together and make a lower for a very good price. The other furniture was all found online singly. I was also able to purchase all the metal pieces I needed online.
I chemical-stripped(citrus-based) the furniture, then boiled it to get as much grease/grime/bodily fluids/etc out as I could. I am just about finished 'fitting' the lower to the action. Once that's done I'll smooth everything and start oiling it.
I hope my work isn't upsetting to anyone; please understand that "FrankEnfield" was in absolutely horrible shape(in a plastic Monte Carlo stock) when I bought him from a pawn-shop!
I'll post again once it's shooting. I am curious if there are any markings that I should look for that would indicate a 're-bore'? I'm assuming he's till a .303.
Rick

Your rear sight protector ears are incorrect the straight part faces to the rear easy fix when oiling up the stocks as you'll pull it down again. Good save.

Sooooo..... you're telling us a guy named Geographer moved to a place called Magma? Hmmmm....
Anyone who's upset by your project should go asking for spare change and see if they can get a life.
Save and restore projects like yours always interest me, and I'm not the only one. I'm the kind of guy that walks by them doing nothing other than thinking how sad that is. Will be fun to see where you go with this and what the finished project looks like.
