I smoked Lucky Strikes for 60 years before quitting 7 years ago... but if I get diagnosed with something like pancreatic cancer, the first thing I will do is buy a carton of them.

I don't think that's a hole in the helmet, looks like the censors obscuring a unit mark. They also got the patch on the far right.

Thanks, and chesterfield,s for me when I was too young because the boss smoked them (Although I liked the slogan LSMFT on the other packs in the vending machine).
I was also too young to ask my uncles and great uncles about their time served. One question provoked by this photo: nets vs no-nets on the helmet…..why? Am guessing this is a basic question but don’t know.
