I smoked Lucky Strikes for 60 years before quitting 7 years ago... but if I get diagnosed with something like pancreatic cancer, the first thing I will do is buy a carton of them.

Bob Seijas, my dad was a Chesterfield smoker. He quit in 1968 (Great American Smoke Off). Said he never craved them but struggled with wanting a cigar. Just before he passed I offered him an Onyx cigar. He declined and said those things will kill you! I said dad, really? He accepted but didn't get too far into it before he wasn't feeling well.

I don't think that's a hole in the helmet, looks like the censors obscuring a unit mark. They also got the patch on the far right.

Thanks, and chesterfield,s for me when I was too young because the boss smoked them (Although I liked the slogan LSMFT on the other packs in the vending machine).
I was also too young to ask my uncles and great uncles about their time served. One question provoked by this photo: nets vs no-nets on the helmet…..why? Am guessing this is a basic question but don’t know.
