    WW2 German 75mm Shell

This inert, FFE, shell was recently sold to me by an antique shop as a WW2 Germanicon 7.5 cm shell. I could tell in the shop by looking at it that it isn't a WW1 German 7.5 cm shell but is it WW2 German shell? I did wonder if it is a 75mm shell from another nation?

Thanks Jim. It is difficult to read but I think it is "34 followed by DU over JM.

I may need to clean it up a bit more.

That might help. There will be markings you can't see right now. I'm thinking it's Germanicon presently.

Maybe one of these? Hollow charge, German, WW2... Anyway, here's the site to look at. WW2 Equipment Data: German Projectiles - 75mm Projectiles

Thanks Jim, I've cleaned the shell up a bit and there appear to be at least 3 Waffenamt markings, indicating Nazi era. It looks like the marking is au over jm.

Definitely Germanicon and WWII. I would have guessed that from the font of the letters but the Waffen's confirm it.
