    Replacement stock for M28/30 Finn

My 28/30 has a one piece Russianicon stock instead of the SAKO spliced type. It is cracked at the rear of receiver in letting. I know the SAKO’s are impossible to find. What model Russian (or Finn) stock would work best as a replacement? I assume modification will be needed for most.

Looks like Apex has m-28 stocks for about $200.00.

I haven’t researched it very much. Are the stocks the same between the M28 and the M28/30?

I also need the hand guard. With the same one for M28 fit.

The stocks for the 28/30's are supposed to be thicker at the wrist and fore end, but the Finns worked with what they had. At least the barrel channel will correct for the thicker profile barrel. The muzzle end of the stock got a cross bolt with the 30's. It depends what you've got, and which mods and upgrades are present on yours and the replacement. An original 30 would be best of course, or a good repair job on the existing one, but if these aren't an option, at least you could probably make do with the 28. The upper hand guards are different due to the change of the rear sight. Apex does have a 28/30 one though.
