    bayonet loose

    just bought a new colt ar-15 le carbine and when i attach the bayonet it is loose around the barrel ring, is there something to put ther to make it tight??

    Is it a 16" barrel? The 16" LE carbine is not designed for a bayonet even though is has the lug. The support ring on the bayonet ends up on the barrel not on the flash hider boss that was designed for it. There is too much barrel for the bayonet.

    that makes sense

    yes barrel is too long, the blade does stick out just enough but the ring isn't close to the flash hider

    The 14.5 M-4 barrel will take the bayonet with no problem.
