    No planes to much fog and may be a quite area as no one is manning the m/guns, and the bloke who may be the beach controller well back to the enemy!

    Where? Could it be the Aleutian islands? Lot of fog there. My dad was with the signal corps on Adak.

    Because of the coats and gloves and tall black boots, I was thinking the same thing. This would be a follow up landing not under contact.
