Japanese Type 96 MG Lower

Gents,
Some research indicates what I have, is a Type 96 Japanese MG lower. We don't think it is Type 99.
I got this for a smoking deal... but with NO other parts (hint.. hint... I am looking).
While it is a little worse for wear, it is a neat article to have. Worst case scenario is that I create a dummy upper and barrel and display as a dummy, or keep looking for parts and assemble into a working semi auto...
Regardless, here are some photos of my "prize"...


I believe the previous owner has a registered version (unconfirmed) and used this demilled set of parts, as spares.

The stock has some wear on it. But a name and "number" carved into the stock.
