    Winchester M97 Takedown

Hey all. I was just curious if the takedown models of the 1897 trench gun (with the bayonet mount/heat shield attached) can be broken down without removing the bayonet mount? I know the Stevens 520 can, but from what I'm looking at it seems that you can't on the 1897. Did a search and couldn't find any information specific to that.

    Thanks everyone.

No you can't. That's why they screwed them together.
