    22 Cal. M4 Carbine

Just in case anyone here has an interest. I am now over 2000 rds fired out of my Tactical Solutions M4 upper bbl receiver dedicated 22LR unit and have only had 3 misfeeds due to cheap ammo.

For a M4 clone 22LR training weapon, t his Tactical Solutions upper is one fine piece of gear. I put it on a dedicated M4 lower receiver so its a complete weapon. It ain't cheap: the TS upper ran $600, my M4 lower ran $400 and my LMT sights ran $100. Included postage in all my costs and total was $1150. Thats a expensive 22LR but it is on helluva fine training rifle and a ton of fun. This is the way to go to shoot a m4 if you want to cut costs of ammo. I get 1 inch average groups at 100 yds with this M4-22LR

No...I did not have good luck with my CMMG or Ciener conv units so that is why I went full bore and got the pricey TS dedicated M4 upper.

Your TS upper cost you $600,and you went thru over 2000 rounds of .22 LR . Now lets see how much you saved over .233.
I just bought 100 rds value pack at Wal mart @$40 a box, for 2000 rds .223
it would cost you $800, now how much did it cost you .....YOUR $200 bucks ahead

I ALMOST bought one last week BUT....

Strike ONE, they wanted 600 bucks with just the rail and front sight. meaning I would also need to buy either an A2 "carry handle" or the little flip up rear sight (both 100 bucks). 700 bucks!

Strike TWO: they can be had now for 499.00 DELIVERED.

Strike THREE: they are are apparently a real $#@$ to fit onto a Rock River Lower.

Strike FOUR: They don't work worth beans with non-USGI Hammers, thus my Rock River NM trigger ain't gonna work and I have to live with a 9# pound stock trigger pull!!

Strike FIVE: RUger has the new SR-22 which is just a 10-22 and costs...
450.00 bucks, but will go down more as soon as things chill out.
