Strange .22 mag

A friend of mine has a strange gun that we dont know anything about. It is about 3 1/2" to 4" long, 2 1/2" wide, and about 3/8" or so thick. totally rectangular. It has 3 seperate barrels, each with their own spring loaded trigger. Stamped on the side it says "King Cobra .22 mag. U.S.". Any ideas would be appreciated.
