I have had these two Swiss rifles for 5 or 6 years now and am just getting around to sorting them out. Both are 30" barreled. One has been "sporterized," and I plan to mount a scope and bed it. The other seems all original. Both rifles have all matching serials on receivers, barrels, bolts and box magazines.
I have quite a few strippers, two seemingly correct slings with quick release buckles, ammo pouches, belts and K31 muzzle covers that obviously are not correct, but they do work as sight covers only when mounted sideways.
Serial# 252098 and "P 7.5" also stamped on receiver.
Butt plate is stamped "98" and is curved (or is it "86"??)
I pulled the plate and was not surprised to find the ID tag missing.
Serial# 464596 and "29" also stamped on the side of receiver and a "P" on top of it.
Butt plate is much more straight.
I have not been able to pull the plate yet on this rifle. I do not have a thin enough flat head and do not want to trash the screws by wrenching on it.
I have a bayonet and scabbard/frog and am unsure of the model.
