Hi guys
I have now got my No1 MK III LSA 1915. A lot of you guys helped with advice before i bought it.
see: https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=58371 Thanks for that.
Overall a nice rifle. May have got a new barrel in 33 and a bolt refitted and numbered too the rifle. Butt is marked with an S for short. I think it is Enfield marked.
I post pictures of some of the markings and hope for feed back from the experts.
some other info: Crown with X and number (LSA markings) on nose cap, rear sight, Magazine cut of and magazine follower. all number match. ( magazine are not numbered )
I send also some other Picture from the rifles "not so lucky" brother. I bought it many years ago on a marked for almost noting. It missing bolt and magazine? and the nose cap have been removed. I wonder if this rifle have been used to mark a poor soldiers grave?
And maked useless by trowing away Bolt and magazine? later on someone have tryed to remove bayonet and unscrewed the nosecap? just a gues. I wish old rifles could tell there stories.
