P1917 Rifle - Magazine floor plate plate catch

I have a Winchester manufactured (SN 124XXX) Pattern 1917 rifle. The bottom plate on the trigger guard housing is not engaging and staying in place. I think I do not have the floor plate catch installed incorrectly. The rifle was re-barreled and the rest were re-blued.
If someone knows the correct orientation of the floor plate catch, can you please let me know?
