CHILEAN MAUSER Question

Was wondering if someone could clear this up for me...what is the difference between the 1895 Mauser, Short Rifle , and Carbine ? The M95 I just acquired has a barrel length of 21 inches and Im guessing that it is a short rifle.

Rifle overall length 48,6" Barrel 29.6"

Short rifle length 41.25" Barrel 21.25"

Carbine length 37.25" Barrel 18.25"

So now that I know what rifle I have, what would be a fair price for a OEM stock for it and are there any typical "problem " areas to be looking for?

Thanks for the quick reply. The rifle was bubbaized at some point. need to find a OEM stock.

Sorry, I'm in the wrong continent to answer that. Probably scarce compared with a full-length shaft.
