Question Help Identifying some parts on a 5.6 SA M1 Grand

    Folks,

I recently bought SA s/n 5.6, and decided to break it down and identify some of the parts using a Collecting M1icon grands book by JC Harrison.

Anyhow there were a few parts I couldnt quite get, including the marks on the barrel.

The rear site cover, can you identify it without tearing down the back sight? I thought it looked like a Type 4 HRA??

The follower arm with no markings, I dont get the double, single bevel?

The gas cylinder lock screw with two sets of P and o?? didnt find an explanation for this, I know it is a Type E, version 4 or 5, post war conversion, from SA sub contractor, post war conversion for use of grenade launcher, P is SA mark other is subcontractor

I have a few more questions too which I can add pictures if need be. One is the rear windage knob, labelled DRC? and the elevation which has WCE on the knob?

Any help would be great! I bought this mainly for the stock which has the rifle grenade sight mount on the site, its too cool! lol
    Thanks in advance, Mike

Can't help you with the sight cover. The follower arm, well you are looking at it from the wrong angle. Turn it facing you. The bevel is where the pin goes thru it, not from the side. Best way is to just show you a pic of a beveled one. A non beveled arm should be correct for your rifle. DRC is Druge Borthers manufacturing company, a common postwar windage knob. WCE is Wico Electric Company, another common post-war supplier.

I see now, thanks. I was way off of what I thought they meant by the bevel!
