Need Info on TYPE 38 Arisaka with Chinese Markings

I would like to know as much about this rifle as possible. And most of all, what dose the Konji markings say? What is the Value of such a rifle. 190000's serial, fires (have shot it). very old Patina, some pitting. still has strong rifling.Attachment 30721Attachment 30722Attachment 30723Attachment 30724

It looks like it is a 1980's import from China. I have one made at the Mudken arsenal. Is it matching and have a mum? Any import marks? The Chinese imports are not worth very much to collecters. Mine is non matching but has a mum. I paid 95.00 at a garage sale.

No import marks what so ever. I believe it was brought back

I was told that one of the Markings says GIFT, and the star is from the People's Republic of China. I just dont know what the other mark says. I was told it was "too old, not used anymore?

    Crack,
I have heard similar things about the Kanji markings. I was hoping that it would give me an idea on what unit... and therefore what location the rifle came from during WWII. However, I am told that this was not documented... and that the Kanji are nearly meaningless.
If you are thinking it was a "bring back"... are you thinking Korea or Vietnam?
Looking at the wood, I don't know if you could consider it true Japaneseicon "Kanji" markings. Looks like markings from the Chinese "National Guard" type outfit.
Regardless, I think you have a cool looking rifle there!
