Question Help identifying machine gun cleaning kit.

    Hi
Picked this up car booting. Anyone any thoughts on what its for ?
    Absolutely no markings on it.
I'm assuming machine gun cleaning kit ww1 or early ww2

    Hopefully attached photos help.

    Welcome to the Forum.

I'm wondering Germanicon-East/West/German just by the grey coloured pouch?

To me the piece that folds out from the hook spanner looks like it could be a case extractor.
Measuring the diameter could give a clue to what it is for.

I can't explain why but something makes me think SMG.

The "C" spanner suggests M.G.34/42 flash hider to me but the question is would it fit? How about a few measurements of the "C" spanner, please?

Certainly not an MP34 here's all the kit laid out, and can't think of any other than RN stuff in bluey/grey leather. Could be an M2 kit re housed??

Could you give us some dimensions of the pouch, please? I wonder if the pouch is actually a mag pouch with perhaps unrelated tools/kit inside?
