Shoot a pistol in New York when you're a visitor from the UKicon, obviously without a license ??
If it's a friends' legal gun and you're at a lawful shooting range, that's OK, otherwise:
Prison food isn't all that bad, so I've heard.
    Don't even think about it.

It has raised a few eyebrows, will be on holiday from UKicon i am a RFD and a FAC holder, seems Newyork is like the UK exept they still have pistols, can anyone give any info for a good place i could go i just want to go to a range borrow a club gun empty a few mags of .45 acp then go but while i am in the USAicon am looking for somewhere to buy some reloading gear if it means going to another state (near new york) i wont mind, a few hours flight is fine.

New York has pretty draconion gun control, but it probably doesn't interfere
    with getting re-loading supplies.
I'm kinda guessing about that as I live in California.
There are indoor ranges where you can rent handguns to shoot, but because
of a couple of recent suicides [using the range's weapon] you must now
be accompanied by a friend.[I'm talking California, but it may apply elsewhere]
The country is awash with mail order houses selling reloading supplies,
so if you're staying with friends, use their computer and order online.
    Enjoy your visit.

Come to Montana. You can shoot my 45 and I'll provide the ammo. Sporting good stores here still have a fair selection.
