My guess is that it would be Winchester. Often there is a "T" on one side and a number on the other side. The size of the leters and numbers are very small, maybe 3/16 inch or so. If this is the style that has a hole in the ferrule, that hole is often off center on a Winchester. That is what I have been taught, right or wrong.
Here's what I've got. Mike, you are right about the number on the other side. There is a "5" on the right and a "T" on the left. You have to look hard to see the "5" but it is there. As for the hole being off center, it is not. Did Winchester punch mark stock ferrules? And after cleaning it up I found an "O" inside right in the center above the swivel.

Bill,
I think the key word on the hole being off center is "often". If you find one with an off center hole, it is mostly likely to be a WRA. There are plenty of WRA ferrules with the hole in the middle. I would be quite sure the ferrule in your pictures is a WRA that most likely had the sling swivel replaced at one point.
Do the swivels look different for WRAs? What do I look for there?

I have been told the "O" in the center above the sling swivel is SA and a "C" in the same place is WRA. I have also been told the off center hole is Winchester. The small letter markings on the inside corner is supposed to be WRA. Your ferrule has the Winchester off set hole and letter, but also has the SA "O" mark above the sling swivel, so somebodies information is wrong. They used to think the ferrules without the hole were early SA but then they started showing up on some of the Greek Collector grades HRA's. The published information is conflicting so I wonder if anyone really knows.
