I bought a lee-enfield long branch at a gun show a few weeks ago. The date is 1942 seral no.is 12L6061 7114. I am just looking for alittle info about this weapon. I read a little about lee-enfields and wanted one so I got one.

If you supply pics there are forumers who have vast experience and will give what info they can to you, Skennertons books are good, Strattons as well look up BDL supplies Brian Dick he has a good selection as well, if you have trouble up loading pics send them to Badger and he will assist you but just follow the guide and its pretty easy even for a computer clown like myself. This is a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1* manufactured in 1942 by 'Longbranch' in Canada, it is the 126,061th rifle of this type that they made.

The number 7114 means nothing to me and without a 'context' (ie whereabouts on the rifle the markings are) it will be very difficult to make a guess.

I wonder if the "7114" is a NZ rack number?
