    National postal meter parts

Just curious, Have any of you guys had trouble finding NPM type 3 hammers. Took me about a year to find two of them. It seems like you just never see them in E-Bay or Gunbroker, and you call the Big Parts Men and they dont have them. Just curious.

If your weren't looking for one, you'd be tripping over them. About a year ago I was looking for a QHMC trigger housing for a friend. This past weekend the first 5 trigger housings I pulled off the top of a parts bin were..... Yep, QHMC.

    Hey look Rusty,
    I just searched GB,
And WHAM found a seller who must have read your post. He's got a NPM hammer....
No picture of it... Maybe that's his new trick !
But I'm sure you could put 2 and 2 together...

    LMAO,
For those that don't know this seller. Take note, Odds are very high it's a fake.

P.S. He even has a Type I band he's selling and describing as a REPRO, that's gotta be a first !

Com'mon guys, what's wrong with a guy trying to make a living? Its just an Amercan business man who sells cheap chinese imported parts which have had forged marks applied so that they imitate the orginal Amercian, high-quality produced parts... Haven't you ever heard of "out-sourcing"???? Geez!!!

Out sourcing and advertizing as such is one thing. Out right Fraud is another.

Jim, sorry... I know it was in bad taste because "that situation" does make some people's (rightfully) boil... I was just being my usual smarta$$ self... but I do agree about the fraud. The sad thing is that in one generation's time, few people will be expert enough to know how or be able to identify all the forgeries that have been produced or sold. Kinda put the damper on both the monetary AND history value for our kids and grandkids.

    Tired,

I was not knocking your comment. Just adding to it.

The only "bad taste" about it is the bad taste you get when you are hosed by the seller.

It has already been three generations and we still know the difference. Maybe the ones we have shown will remember and pass it on. We can only hope.

    Jim

Speaking of fraud, what ever happened with the guy in Washington who was selling "rare unmarked dog leg hammers" with military boxes smeared with cosmolene and FSN numbers? The hammers disappeared quickly after he was narc'ed off here and on CMPicon. Maybe our friend in sunny California bought them all to add "correct" markings to...
