Everything that should be wood is solid mottled plastic. All else is metal as it should be. Probably a Remington as it has a RA 2-43 barrel. I was told it was a Navy training rifle. Should have bought the mate to it.

Bolt is welded underneath so it will not move.

The navy training rifles are, according to Brophy, welded so solid they can never be of any use hurting anyone except as a club. The full explanation is in his book as to what was the spec. I expect the ones that work perfectly have been parted out for the stock.
    Regards, Jim
