    "The Blue Max"

Was watching this on TV this morning while working out, and while there were a number of anachronisms, the one which struck me the most was the trench scene of the start of the Germanicon counter-offensive. The Britishicon troops are appropriately armed with SMLE and 1907 bayonets. The Germans----#4 Lee-Enfields with #7 bayonets!

    My advice.
Concentrate on Ursala Andress towel scene and ignore the rest.

It does beg the question of "how many takes" were required for the Ursala Andress/George Peppard bed scene?

I would say that would depend on how much creative control George had over the movie. Or perhaps how many filming angles and editing were required to provide just the right "exposure".

Perhaps the scene was filmed inside "Dr Who"s" Tardis, i.e. a time machine?

It was filmed in Eire though, not a place in the 1960's that was know to have a large availability of Gewehr 98's to hand...........but did have a shed load of SMLE and No.4's.

But otherwise I agree with the post above regarding Ursula Undress

It was still a good movie. I remember it when it first came out.

Watched a documentary last night about Guadalcanal. It had some dramatizations with Japaneseicon soldiers properly uniformed but with with K-98s.
My eyes are still hurting. They do not need to hire some high priced military consultant. I will advise them for free to keep from getting scorched retinas.

This may help with the eye pain.

Sorry guys had to avert my eyes from Miss Andress as she wasn't donning a regulation WASHING TOWELS FOR THE USE OF GREEN
