Redfield base question for the 1903a4

Have a 1903A4 that is a rebuild. The Redfield base has a R in a circle on the right side front as apposed to the Redfield marking on the right rear. Have not seen anything on this and am wondering if this is a replacement or a commercial base. Thanks
