The 3/75th Rangers down at Benning have contracted w/ Khar for a coupla hundred 1911 "presentation-shooters" for personal purchase by the troops.

By "presentation-shooters" I mean guns which have custom checkered 3/75th-symbol grips, polished slides and custom engraving/serial numbers on the sides. But it's meant to be *shot*, not sit in a velvet-lined box like a lot of the "commemorative" things you see in the back cover of magazines these days

My question is to those who have gotten Khar 1911's in the last 3-4 years since they acquired Auto-Ordnance. What's y'all's view of the product these days?
