Yeah, I've got one upstairs. Somehow the Chileanicon Army got a hold of a pile of Remington '03-A3 .30-06 barrels. All 2 groove. They turned the exterior profile and re-threaded the barrel for the Mauser and re-chambered them into 7.62mm. They do not quite seem to be a perfect fit as the barrel is actually too small for the conversion. But I have fired mine rifle and all is safe. If I might ask, what did you give for it?

    M1912 .308

i payed 150.00 so far but, have to pay a transfer fee when i pick it up. don't know what that will be. i realy wanted the Isreali but it was realy beat, it also went for150.00. i had my stone-axe gage and the MW on the M1912 was 1+ and K98icon was about 6+. i 've been wanting a shooter Mauser for awhile but local prices are way to high for me. i was busy BSs with some Marines i went to school with, about war stories and missed a very nice SA 1903 Mark 1 that went for 400.00. i did also get a 16" Sa 1905 bayonet/m1910 scabbard for 70.00 grips and cavnvas are repos. not much on auctions but should go to more this one had some bargans i thought. i could'nt stay too long since it was my 40th wedding ans. and was kind of in deep poop already. hard to believe after 40 years they can still get disapointed?? enough rambling thanks for any help......Semper Fi

I used to see Israeli barrels all the time at gunshows. But haven't seen one in years. If beat, you get Chuckindenver to re-park it. They look great all fixed up. At $150.00 either or both work.
