    1889 Belgian Mauser

I bought it at a gun auction and I was not quite sure what it was. As it has sleeved barrel, I thought it might be a GEWicon 88 carbine ( which were never made?)

It is 7.65x 53 (Same as Argentineicon mauser) Originally made in Belgiumicon and rearsenaled in Birmingham Englandicon by Belgians who left their country and took some of their arsenal equipment with them.

Wood appears to be tiger stripe and has a built in attachment on the left side of the stock for a saddle sling.
