Bulgarian Luger question

Hello everyone. I have a question about an M1900 Bulgarian Luger. It is chambered in the original 7.65 Parabellum. All the numbers match, it has a 1922 flap holster and an extra magazine. As soon as I get pictures I will post them. I know the pistol is rare, but the story may be even rarer. It was a bring back from WWII by a reletive. He had been an MP and helped liberate Dachau. Now I know this part may seem far fetch, but just hear me out. According to my grandfather, the pistol was taken from the commander of the camp. I know everyone says their luger was taken from someone famous, but this may have been. We also have a German Calvary sword, the man's dress sword, a cat-o-nine-tails (Scary) and a 1938 Iron Cross. We do have some documents, but it has been years since I have looked at them and they are not in my possession . I seem to remember their was a wallet and even some family pictures, but it has been years since I have looked at any of that.

Is their anyway I can prove or disprove that this pistol may have been taken from an officer?

this will be a very hard or an hopless work. Obersturmbannführer Eduard Weiter was the last commander at KZ Dachau but he committed suicide on the 2nd of may 1945. The officers at the Wehrmacht or the SS had a free choice of personal weapons, so that it will be not registerd wich pistol he used. The question is, was it the commander or an higher ranked officer?
I think the best way will be believe the story and keep the pistol in good condition it has an good value with or without the story. And i mean not only the $.

An unaltered Model 1900 Bulgarian Luger is a rare pistol by itself. There are a lot of true stories about weapons capture in WWII, but without documentation they add nothing to the monetary value of the pistol.
The Model 1900 was a 4 3/4 inch barrel where the later 9mm pistols were 4 inch. Is the 1922 dated holster the correct length for the longer barrel? Pictures?

It´s generally accepted here that very many "Bulgarian" Lugers are fakes.
