    bm59 paratroop stock

is it dislegal to remove the metal folding buttstock from this?
i.e. would the weapon be too short to be legal?
    ...
    thx, goo

Off the top of my head a rifle has to have a 16" barrel and an overall length of 26". This measurement is with the stock collapsed or folded. All that unless it is registered as a short barreled or short rifle (class III I think).

seems like an bm59 with that stock might not be legal, then.
    thanks, bill
