Hey guys
I am in the position to buy a 1942 (serial 699xxx) SA M1Garand. The weapon has all the right WWII parts (internal and external) with a SA barrel of 9-43 and was formerly used to shoot blanks, though demil now. It has a Danish
stock with the round plate removed and a EMcF cartouche on it.
Question: is this a real cartouche or a fake? It isn't very clear in the picture but the 'c' has a straight left side, and not a round one as on most fakes. Peculiar is that the crossed cannons stamp is not on the rifle (belt sander? removed by the Danish?).
Seller is asking 900 Euro (yes, I am from Europe) which is about 1200 US Dollar. Mind you that 'good' WWII GI issue Garands are hard to find in my part of Europe.
Value for my money or a big no-no?
