    1911 photo help

    Hello all ,
I have a chance to purchase what appears to be a legit 1911 pistol in the 411xxx sn. range . By using the info gained here and other sites it seems to be a good example .
I have about 6 so-so photos of this weapon that I would like to have posted here for your examination and to tell me if it is in fact all correct .
I was not able to get clear pics of the barrel but it is marked with the NON interlaced P and H . Bore condition is good with some evidense of corrosive ammo use .
I have a web tv so I cannot post the pics , but if some one is willing to post them for me it would be of great help and appreciated .
Contact me at colmarpocket2@webtv.net andI will send you the pics.
    Thanks

Have you checked the back of the grip panels to see if they look original? The horizontal lines formed by the checkering pattern look very wavy for Colt grips.

Grips are humped, hammer, magazine release are repops, not original, not even close.

These old things are very scarce and getting more so each day. Its worth no more than you are willing to pay for a fairly decent M1911. If the seller is hyping it as original, I bet the interior parts are humped as well.

They are only original once. It does not matter how many dollars and parts you throw at a gun, they are only original once.

Give us all a lesson on how you spotted all those fake parts. Since they are not even close, that should be easy.
