    AMOUNT OF AMMO IN BULGARIAN TIN/LEAD SEALED BOXES?
    Anyone know how much is in one tin/lead sealed box of Bulgarian 7.62x54R ammo 1965 vintage??

    I think he means the case the spam cans come in. If it is a lead sealed zinc case then it might not be 7.62x54 but 7.62x25 for the pistols/subguns. I don't remember seeing zinc cases for the rifle round but have for the pistol rounds.

    The 50s Bulgarian that I had came 300 to a tin, and the tins were zinc (actually galvanized steel I think) sealed with lead. It had a ring that you pulled to open it. Like a pack of juicy fruit gum. I got it at a gunshow, and IIRC there were 3 tins to a wooden crate.

    That's got to be the one! 3 cans are just what I 've got.
