    Alan,

The P14 barrels sounded a good deal if they were ok ?, also the P14 ERA not a bad price but guess the barrel was shot, had too much on to get there and had no cash, and plastic is streched to the limit.
Did you get a look at at the Long Lee?

I Give the No4 (T) a miss, went for the bike (Ducati 750 SS), the bike will help get my tax back, but looking at our new goverment maybe i should of gone for No4 (T) !!!!!

Just an external look - it wasn't the one with the pinned barrel, externally looked nice, all complete, bolt cover, bolt slid and cocked nicely.

Saving my available 'slot' for an L39 or L42
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

No.78 tele. The forums occasionally have someone who pops up with one of these and wants to know what to do with it. The modest magnification means the price is about right.

Lack of eye relief makes them good only for .22s. Very wide FOV though, with commensurate distortion at the edges IRRC.

Light and very strongly made though. I had three or four newish ones at one time.

I bought a brand new Mk78 in its manufacturer's packaging for £10. The vendor was one of many who'd bought one on eBay for a huge sum going on the description of a "sniper scope".

They are nice scopes - but useless for any rifle other than an airgun or .22".
