Lee Enfield model 2A .308 cal

I've been toying with the thought of picking up a Lee Enfield model 2A .308 cal barreled receiver as a project rifle or perhaps a No 4 Mk1 although I now have one of those. Not looking at building them for anything other than for fun and to shoot so I'm not worried that I may end up costing more than buying a rifle. Just not sure about the model 2A .308 cal. either way, 2A or Mk1 is going to cost $60.00 for the barrel receiver and I'm gonna bulid on or the other.
    Any thoughts?

I'd just buy the assembled rifle if it's available. It'll inevitably be cheaper in the long run.

I assume you are talking about the Indian RFI 2A1 rifle if so don't forget that you will need an Indian magazine as they are different to the standard Enfield ones.

2A/2A1 is a fun rifle and it sounds like you already have a No4. Sounds like a fun project.

As you said it would be easier and cheaper to buy a rifle intact. Sometimes there is more adventure in the journey than the destination.
